Monday Literary Term
Define ANAGRAMS in your own words. The novel and movie The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown uses anagrams. Can you decode these two anagrams from the movie?
1. Draconian devil Oh lame saint.
2. So dark the con of man.
In the novel and movie The Da Vinci Code, the following was written on the floor of the Louvre next to a dead man: "O Draconian devil Oh lame saint.". The main characters discover that it is an anagram for "Leonardo Da Vinci. The Mona Lisa"!
Behind The Mona Lisa they find another anagram “So dark the con of man". By re- arranging the letters, they came up with "Madonna of the Rocks", another Da Vinci painting.
*Write your own anagram below (it is okay to find one online if you find this too challenging).
